Message from Mrs. Stamer

We are continuing to have a wonderful start to the school year and we have some exciting news to share. Beginning Monday, September 9th, we will be serving breakfast from 8:00 - 8:15. You can drop your child off at 8:00 at door #7 on Forest Road. They will come in and have a “grab and go” style breakfast. At 8:15 students will be dismissed to line-up with their class on the blacktop. If your child is a bus rider and wants breakfast, they will have the option to grab a breakfast when they arrive. We will have a space for them to eat before they go to class. We are looking forward to this new opportunity for students and hope it is a great success!

Message from Mrs. Cavaliere

Today we had our All School Welcome Back assembly and it was quite packed with positivity and focused on building up our all school community! This school year it is a goal of Forest Road School to enhance our all school community.

  • In order to do this we:

    • Reviewed our all school expectations and agreements as they are a reminder to us all of  how we want our school to be.

    • Introduced all of the adults in the building that are here to support our students.  It is our hope that students see all the adults as both helpful people to them and people they should demonstrate respect towards as we build stronger student and staff connections.

    • Created excitement around our inaugural one book one school adventure and revealed the title of the book!

This week, all District 102 students began their first Benchmark Assessment Window. Through a variety of assessments, teachers are gaining valuable insights into each student’s progress in key areas like math, reading fluency, comprehension, spelling, and grammar. These results will guide teachers in planning whole group and small group instruction tailored to meet students' individual needs. Additionally, they will help set grade-level goals for the year. Students should feel proud of the effort they've already put into their learning as we work together to support their continued growth!

District 102 Survey for families with IEPs

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year!

The following survey is presented by the Special Needs Advisory Panel (SNAP). The goal of SNAP is to bridge collaboration between parents, staff members, and the district. As we plan for the school year we would love some feedback. This is a short survey to see how our district can best support our families of students with IEPs. This survey should only take a minute or two. We greatly appreciate your input.

D102 Survey for Families of Students with IEPs
