Message from Mrs. Stamer

It was another fun week at Forest Road! We had our Spring Music concert on Tuesday night and last night we had our Family Cultural Fair along with the Book Fair. Thank you to Mr. Tise for putting on an awesome show! We enjoyed singing, smiles, solos, instruments and sports equipment used as instruments. Our PTO did a wonderful job putting together our Family Cultural Fair and Book fair. Thank you so much! We appreciate all you do! Thank you to all the families who participated in the Cultural Fair. It was a great night!  Enjoy some pictures below.

Our first grade classes received their incubators and eggs and are eagerly awaiting the arrival of the chicks. Our second grade is observing matter and describing physical properties in science. Third graders are finishing their nonfiction research slideshows. Fourth graders are really enjoying their whole class novel Number the Stars and will have a field trip soon to wrap up the novel. Fifth graders just wrapped up their second book club and the kids loved the books. Next week they are starting the book Refugee as a whole class read aloud. Sixth graders are beginning a unit on Native Americans and finishing up their non-fiction feature articles.

Next week I will be sending out a letter to all families regarding class lists for next year. Please stay tuned.

Message from Mr. Ontiveros

Having a chance to do another guest teaching lesson with some of our 4th grade Roadrunners this week, we learned about sportsmanship. The students brainstormed examples and non-examples. The group then applied the concept while demonstrating sportsmanship during a card game with classmates. It was great to be a part of.

Have a wonderful weekend!

This year we are hoping to do something a little different that involves the continued generosity of our families.

We are looking for donations that will be raffled off to our certified staff. If you are willing and able, we are looking for anything from a monetary or gift card donation to tickets to a sporting event, and anything in between.  We have created a sign up genius with a few ideas for someone to purchase (some include a direct link) and we have created "OTHER" slots for you to fill in what you would like to donate.

SIGN UP GENIUS

If you would like to make a monetary donation instead, you can do so via thisPushCoin link:
