I hope this message finds you well and that you had a wonderful summer. I am thrilled to be starting my 5th year as the principal here at Forest Road Elementary. This marks my 7th year at this school and my sixteenth year in the district - time really does fly! We have grown so much as a school and a district during my time here and I can’t wait to see what successes we accomplish this year. Last year we completed a new Strategic Plan for the district and this year we will create a new mission and vision for Forest Road. I look forward to having a focus on our strategic plan and new mission and vision as we work together this school year. 

On a personal note, I have two boys who are starting exciting new chapters in their education journeys - one as a senior and the other as a freshman. Our summer was filled with college visits, boating, fishing and spending quality time with friends and family. It was the perfect balance of relaxation and preparation for the busy year ahead. 

I’m genuinely excited for the upcoming school year and all the opportunities it will bring for our students, families and staff. Together, we can make this year a great success. See you soon!

I’ve had the privilege of dedicating my career in education to District 102, with an incredible 20+ years spent at Forest Road School.  I have held several positions within the district, including most recently the role as instructional coach.  I’m excited to embark on a new chapter as the assistant principal of Forest Road School for the 2024-2025 school year.  

When I am not at school, you’ll often find me enjoying the simple pleasures of life - taking walks with my dog, Tilly, hanging out with my husband, cheering on my four kids at their various activities, and cherishing moments with family and friends.  I love to vacation at national parks and soak in all the beauty of nature! 

As I step into this new role, I am eager to continue serving the remarkable students, staff and families that make Forest Road such a special community.  Together, I’m confident we’ll nurture an environment where every individual can thrive and succeed.  Forest Road holds a special place in my heart, and I’m grateful for the chance to contribute to its ongoing journey of excellence.
