D102 Families,
Due to predictions for severe inclement weather starting early tomorrow morning and continuing throughout the day, all La Grange School District 102 buildings will be closed and all classes will be canceled tomorrow, Friday, January 12, 2024. This will be a traditional snow day for students, with no eLearning expectations. Because our buildings will be closed, we are also canceling all extra curricular activities and rentals for Friday, January 12. All extracurricular activities and rentals may resume on Saturday, January 13. In the event this changes, we will reach out to the rentals and teams over the weekend. Due to flexibility in our 23-24 school year calendar, students will not need to make up the day through the extension of the school year. D102 classes are expected to be back in session Tuesday, January 16, 2024.
We understand the inconvenience this decision may cause, and we appreciate your understanding as the safety of our students and staff are our top priority. This decision was informed by the national weather service and made in consultation with our surrounding districts, bus company and our own Building and Grounds staff.
